Bowden is gone, U of M still in doubt, no more Tebow. Will any of these situations help recruiting this year?

Not likely, IMO...

The bigs go after who they want...we still are a "second tier" school in recruiting...we have to Hope that Howard & Co. stumble across another Arenas, and that they actually get in, etc...

Still smarts that the guy ended up at Alabama Angry

Miami is 9-3. I wouldn't exactly call that "in doubt."

Not really all recruits knew they weren't going to finish their college careers with Bowden, and UM will be competing for a title next year

I think a lot of UM fans don't think Shannon is a good head coach but he's an excellent recruiter

Thats the problem with college football fans nowadays....they forget there is a cycle.  You're not going to win the National Championship every year or even contend for it....not if you play by the rules anyway.  When you hire a coach you should be thinking about consitancy and the morals of the man you're hiring and I never thought I would say this about a UM coach but Shannan seems like a good coach...in fact when Howard retires I would be more than happy to see FAU interview him...much better than an idiot like Kiffen or Saban, you can keep your titles I will take a coach I like and can be proud of.

In regards to the 'Canes, I'm just saying that the scuttlebutt indicates some doubt about Coach Shannon. He was hired to be the head coach not a great recruiter.
