First 4-
Things started in a very slow way for both squads, as it was over 2 minutes before Tre Carroll scored the first points of the game with 17:58 to play, giving the Owls a 2-0 lead and over 3 minutes before Memphis responded, evening the game up with a bucket down low from Dain Dainja with 16:37 to play. This was a physical game early on between these 2 squads and after it was even at 4, the Owls got back to back buckets from Carroll and Kaleb Glenn and heading into the U16 timeout with 13:57 to play FAU was holding an 8-4 advantage and Tre Carroll was leading the way with 4 points and 5 boards, while the Owls were holding Memphis to 2 of 11 from the field.
U12 timeout-
The Owls got a solid few possessions out of Matas Vokietaitis out of the U16 timeout, as he scored 3 in a row, splitting a pair of free throws and putting the ball on the floor on a drive to the rim, giving the Owls an 11-7 lead with 12:33 to play. Memphis responded with a driving layup from their own big man, as Dain Dainja was fouled and hit a layup on the drive, making it 11-10 FAU heading into the U12 timeout with 11:53 to play. FAU had 5 offensive rebounds early on, giving them an early advantage, however Memphis turned 3 FAU turnovers into 7 points, making it a battle.

U8 timeout-
This time, the Owls got a burst from Kaleb Glenn who scored 5 in a row off the bench and another bucket from Matas capped off a 7-2 run, which made it 18-12 FAU with 9:36 to play. Memphis responded and their offense began to wake up, as they went on a 6-2 run of their own, getting all of their buckets in the paint and heading into the U8 timeout with 7:43 to play the Owls were holding a 20-18 lead, getting 12 pointed combined from Matas and Glenn off the bench.
U4 timeout-
Memphis went on a run out of the U8 timeout, as they began to attack the rim with a purpose. The Owls grabbed a 24-18 lead with 6:51 to play, however following that the Tigers went on a 9-0 run, grabbing 5 offensive rebounds in 3 possessions while holding FAU without a bucket for 3:13 and heading into the U4 timeout with 3:38 to play Memphis was holding a 27-24 lead.
Final 4-
Memphis was able to hold onto their lead over the final few minutes, going on a 7-2 run out of the U4 which was a part of a 19-8 run overall and heading into the break Memphis was holding a 37-32 lead.

2H first 4-
The Owls came out of half with a full court press, however Memphis saw right through it and found Dainja down low for a bucket to extend their lead. Tre Carroll responded with 4 in a row for FAU, however Memphis went on a 9-2 run with 3 buckets in a row from Dainja as well as another from Hunter and heading into the U16 timeout Memphis was holding a 48-38 lead with 16:32 to play.
2H U12-
Memphis was able to build on their lead over the next few minutes, outscoring FAU 11-8 over the next 5 minutes and change and although FAU was responding, Memphis had 8 second chance points and 5 points off turnovers and they were comfortably leading 59-46 heading into the U12 timeout with 11:52 to play.
2H U8 timeout-
It began to get seriously out of hand over the next few minutes, as Memphis went on a 12-3 run in between the U12 and U8 timeout, forcing an Owls turnover with a suffocating full court press which FAU had no answer to and heading into the U8 timeout Memphis was holding a 72-49 lead with 7:24 to play.
2H U4 timeout-
Memphis continued to score at will, getting buckets from 4 different Tigers and although FAU got triples from Walker and Miller, Memphis scored 8 and heading into the U4 timeout trailing 80-55 with 3:53 to play.
Final 4-
The Owls showed fight over the final few minutes, sparking an 8-0 run over the final 2:27, however it was a moot point as Memphis closed out an 84-65 victory at home.
