FAU is back in action Sunday afternoon looking to snap a 3 game losing streak against USF, while the Bulls look to play spoiler to the Owls bounce back hopes and keep FAU winless all time against the Bulls at home. The Owls are making their first lineup change since early into AAC play as Kaleb Glenn and Matas Vokietaitis head into the starting lineup for Kyky Tandy and Tre Carroll.

1H first 4-
FAU came out of the gates with early energy, getting buckets from 3 different Owls, and hitting 45% of their shots from the field while 50% of their early triples, also grabbing an early 6-3 advantage on the boards and heading into the U16 media timeout with 15:28 to play the Owls were holding an 11-4 advantage. Early on the starting lineup changes looked to have given FAU a much needed energy boost
1H U12-
The Owls continued to play with a purpose early, holding USF to without a made FG from the 16:40 mark until the 11:26 and offensivley, they were shooting 50% from the field, 75% from 3 and they were perfect from the line, getting 8 early points from Baba Miller and heading into the U12 timeout FAU was holding a 19-11 lead with 11:22 to play.
1H U8-
FAU’s offense hit an early drought, as they went without a point from the 12:49 mark until 8:30 and that allowed USF to go on a 6-0 run to bring this one back closer. Matas Vokietaitis responded with 4 in a row for FAU to snap the drought and heading into the U8 timeout with 7:16 to play the Owls were holding a 23-19 lead, still holding USF to under 30% from the field.
1H U4 timeout-
Things began to slow down for both sides out of the U8, as both sides were without a made field goal for over 3 minutes, however Devin Vanterpool gave the Owls a bit of momentum with a coast to coast steal, which gave the Owls a 27-21 lead and that was our score heading into the U4 timeout with 3:08 to play.
Final 4-
The sides traded buckets over the final few minutes, however Nico Moretti hit a buzzer beating triple to give FAU a 34-25 lead heading into the break.
Halftime thoughts:
FAU had 3 scorers leading them with 8 points in Baba Miller, Matas Vokietaitis and Baba Miller and they also had a 28-19 lead on the glass heading into half time. USF on the other hand was struggling from the field, making only 20% of their field goals and assisting on 2 of them, leading to the 9 point deficit at the break.
2H first 4-
The Owls came out in the second half with a scoring jolt they were lacking in their past 2 games, outscoring USF 12-5 through the first 4 minutes, forcing Ben Fletcher into a timeout with 16:12 to play, however that was to no avail as the Owls took a 46-30 lead into the U16 timeout with 15:06 to play, hitting 4 of their first 6 field goals, while USF hit only 2 of their first 7.
2H U12-
Both sides traded buckets in-between the U16 and U12 timeouts, with Baba Miller getting to the line twice, while USF got 4 points from Kasen Jennings and headed into the U12 timeout with 11:36 to play, the Owls were holding a 52-36 lead, rolling with Momentum off an alley-oop from Matas Vokietaitis.
2H U8 timeout-
USF began to close the gap with FAU, going on an 8-2 run out of the U12 timeout to close it within 10, 54-44, with 9:14 to play, however FAU had the responses they lacked in their previous 3 games in this matchup. Following that run, FAU got back to back triples from Tre Carroll and Leland walker and heading into the U8 timeout, FAU was leading 60-47 with 7:02 to play
