Florida Atlantic softball is NCAA bound for the first time since 2016. On Selection Sunday, the Owls were awarded an at-large bid to the Gainesville Regional with a matchup set against South Alabama on Friday, May 17. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. EST. This will continue FAU’s remarkable season in which they have amassed a 41-14 record and finished the regular season on top as co-champions of the American Athletic Conference. The Owls boast six All-Conference players on their roster (Ainsley Lambert, Katelynn de Leon, Kamryn Jackson, Presley Leebrick, Trinity Schlotterbeck on the first team, Jesiana Mora on the second team) as well as the AAC rookie of the year in Kiley Channel. Led by Head Coach Jordan Clark in her second season, the team was also awarded the AAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Florida Atlantic was among the top 40 in the RPI rankings for much of the season and received their first Top 25 appearance in the Softball America poll, their first such ranking since 2016. This marks the 12 NCAA appearance for the Owls.
