Bodenmiller, Myers, Fawbush Earn Recognition Florida Atlantic’s Blair Bodenmiller, Taylor Fawbush and Jessica Myers were named to the Sun Belt All-Conference Team on Tuesday. Bodenmiller, a senior from Orlando, FL was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team for the second year in a row. She leads the team in batting average (.314), hits (44), homeruns (five) and slugging (.464) and is among the programs all-time leaders in numerous offensive categories. Myers and Fawbush were both named to the Second Team. Myers returned to the field in 2010 after missing the 2009 season due to injury. She has been a key member both offensively and defensively for the Owls. The senior from Boynton Beach, leads the team in stolen bases (10) and is tied for the team lead in RBIs (18). Myers also hit a gamewinning homerun earlier this season against ULM. Taylor Fawbush has been a standout member of the Owls pitching staff since the beginning of the season. Despite being just a freshman, Fawbush leads FAU in appearances (22), wins (nine), innings pitched (116.2), complete games (12) and opponent batting average (.224). The Owls will begin play in the Sun Belt Tournament on Wednesday when they play tournament host South Alabama at 6:30 p.m. eastern.
