Florida Atlantic forward Andre Mattison returns in the front court for the Owls after appearing in 22 games last season averaging 5.8 minutes and registering a season high seven point performance against Louisiana. A native of Washington DC, Mattison enjoyed a very successful high school campaign at Coolidge High School where he racked up numerous awards including three All-DCIAA recognitions and being named team MVP as a senior. At 6′-7″ Mattison can get above the rim in a big way, but the high flyer says he’s not fond of the area. “I’m scared of heights”, said Mattison. Mattison recently sat down with us for “Up Close”.
