If the Cowboys want to show they are taking a hard stance against off-field behavior, I don't think cutting Lucky Whitehead is where they should start - they have much more visible targets. But you know Jerr-uh Jones isn't going to mess with a starter to make such statement.Posted On: Jul 25th 2017, 8:48 AM #369552
Is it new to you guys that star players get more chances?
85 percent of kickoffs go in the end zone and he has 9 catches in 2 years he was going to get cut anyways.
This ma be a good thing because he could get picked up and spend a full camp with someone, but unless something really changes he has 1-2 years left in the league better save them dollars.

When I found out the news early yesterday morning, I told my friends that Lucky is no superstar like Zeke is, Jerry is not gonna bail him out on this one. Lots of other players on the roster are dealing with legal issues. Sadly, Lucky was just the sacrificial lamb.
Anyways, I hope it all clears up and he bounces back.

SHOCKER @PWCPolice now say they had the WRONG GUY when falsely charging @ninjafast22 with larceny. #FreeLucky 👌 pic.twitter.com/GqTTPh0jbQ

So what legal recourse does Lucky have vs, the Boys, the NFL and the Va. Sherriff's Dept.?Seems to me he should be able to be compensated very nicely by all 3! Oh, and where was the players Union through this????Posted On: Jul 25th 2017, 1:55 PM #369556
I don't know what recourse he has but the Cowboys were probably going to cut him anyways, at least now he has a chance to latch on w another team at the beginning of camp, I think it would have been harder later on. Seems completely negligent on the part of the police.

I don't think he has any recourse against the NFL or Cowboys because they really didn't do anything wrong. This is just the life of being a NFL player. I would think he has a strong case against the police dept.
I remember last year when he missed a walkthrough and they left him home, and didn't take him on a roadtrip. I thought he was gonna get cut then. You can't do that stuff if you are a fringe NFL player.
