C-USA Football: Games for Week of August 27, 2022


Following an exciting 2021 campaign, Conference USA begins its 28th football season on Saturday at high noon, opening the 2022 campaign. Here is the league schedule for Week 0:

I know its very early in the season, but does this guy look as good as Bailey Zappe?

He's no Zappe but he's not terrible. Im more surprised by WKU's lack of run defense

Agreed. He threw a pick, and almost another. Kind of a weird throwing motion as well.

In his third career start against UTEP, quarterback Austin Aune threw 16-for-29 for 236 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions as the Mean Green went a perfect 5-for-5 in the red zone to notch a 31-13 season-opening victory against UTEP.

Florida Atlantic DB Justin McKithen took home Defensive Player of the Week honors following a strong performance in a league win over Charlotte, including a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown. McKithen’s teammate, K Morgan Suarez was named C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week after connecting on three field goals for the Owls in their season-opening victory.
