Will we ever have a diamond as nice as that one? Its a lot of money to put into a program that doesn't bring alot of people in but I'm sure once you build it people will come.

Never say never, but that is also in the middle of Kansas...NOT a lot to do there.

I was thinking about that too. Their baseball team might be the biggest thing they have.

Wichita has or had a minor league team. I attended a game many years ago. Fairly well attended. But that was a different generation. That was before cable TV also.

I agree, there isn't much to do in Wichita. Because of temperance laws, not much of a bar scene either. 

FAU needs a great weekend . Need to take the series. To leave Wichita, forth in the conference will be huge. With all the issues the Owls have worked thru, one of Coach Mac's best season .

A scoreless affair so far between the Owls and Shockers after 3 innings to begin the series. Both teams are hitting 4-20 combined, with DeBose recording the first and only hit for FAU.

End 3rd: FAU 0, Wichita State 0

John Schroeder opens the scoring with a 2-run homer, and CJ Williams strikes out his 4th batter to have the Owls leading by 2!

End 4th: FAU 2, Wichita State 0

Got a tie game after the Shockers put up 2 runs in the 6th. CJ Williams got subbed out with Steven Andrews stepping onto the mound.

End 6th: FAU 2, Wichita State 2

Poor CJ…was throwing a gem until that 6th inning stumble.

Still a good showing on the road.

Just need a little action from the aluminum.
