Army and Navy are both 3-0 for the first time since 2016. The academies are tied atop the American Athletic Conference standings at 2-0 in league play. Army's seven-game winning streak stands as the second-longest active winning streak nationally (Missouri, eight).

Army ranks second nationally in rushing with 356.0 yards per game. Navy is fourth at 307.3 ypg.

Navy's 143 points through its first three games are the most by the Midshipmen since 1918, when they scored 150 points. Navy is 11-for-11 in red zone opportunities in 2024 with 11 touchdowns.

North Texas, which had 534 yards of offense in its 44-17 win against Wyoming, has had at least 500 yards in 10 of Eric Morris' 16 games as head coach.

Temple K Maddux Trujillo hit a 64-yard field goal as time expired in the first half against Utah State, shattering The American's single-game record by eight yards and accounting for the longest field goal in any game at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The previous stadium record was 61 yards, set by Philadelphia Eagles (and former Memphis) kicker Jake Elliott, while the previous AAC record of 56 yards was set by Elliott in 2013 and tied by Memphis' Riley Patterson in 2020.

South Florida K Nico Gramatica kicked a 58-yard field goal in the Bulls' loss to No. 8 Miami, a kick that would have stood as the AAC record until Trujillo’s kick earlier on Saturday.

Tulsa K Seth Morgan hit a 45-yard field goal with 32 seconds left in the fourth quarter to force overtime and hit a 34-yard field goal for the gamewinner in the Golden Hurricane's 23-20 win at Louisiana Tech.

Memphis QB Seth Henigan had two touchdown passes in the Tigers' loss to Navy, exntending his streak to 41 games with at least one TD pass - or every game of his career.

UTSA had a program-record 35 first downs in the Roadrunners' 45-7 win against Houston Christian.

East Carolina’s game at Liberty was delayed by weather for four hours, 40 minutes early in the first quarter. The opening kickoff was at 6:03 p.m. ET and the game ended at exactly 2 a.m. ET.

I think a better question is how good is Army...they are en route to fulfilling my prophecy of being Top 25.

Kind of crazy, looks like Army and Air Force switched places.

Air Force looks horrendous this year.
