Remaining FAU Football Game Win Probability Percentages

Post

Yea, this season feels like a complete throwaway again.  I'll be at the last 2 home games, but dont blame anybody for not being able to stomach the product.

TH gets next season, without dramatic improvement.  This whole staff needs to be overturned.

onto basketball!

UPDATED FAU Football win percentage prognostications through Sat, Oct 26th. Despite not playing, others did, and the numbers have all declined. Particularly ECU, who posted 56 points.

Difficult to believe any of these games are winnable.
Owls have not shown the ability to control or finish a game against FBS opponents, especially in away games the past three years.
Our November record the past two seasons (Willie & Tom) is 1 win (FIU) and 6 loses.
Remember, “Win in November, play in December”.

We have not beat a D1 football team (I  dont consider FIU to be D1 right now)….

Since October of 2023.  Been over a year.  And that was against a bottom 10 team in UNCC.

Zero faith in our program to win games.  I am starting to think people dont realize how bad the last 4 years have been and how bad the results have been under Tom.

Honestly I think we lose out. I missed the UTSA game, but honestly it just seems like the team is giving up. Maybe not even the players, but the coaching staff seems like it just wants the clock to run out so they can go home. I just can't see us going on the road and winning a game, and there's nothing left to play for except pride, and we've generally never been an institution that plays with a lot of pride, at least since the prime Schnellenberger years, and golden era of Kiffin. Under WT and TH, we seem like we're just going through the motions.

Its going to be a big lift to get us out of this losing funk.  It feels like this program has zero positive momentum.

Getting hammered at Homecoming by USF…would be a knockout blow.

Real interesting read on the PITT turnaround and how they did it;

The section on the O Coaching changes is something we could/should do IMMEDIATELY following the season!

I think we will get hammered. I hope I'm wrong, but it just seems like we're all talk and no execution. I think USF is looking for redemption and will absolutely bring it tomorrow. As much as they downplay that we're rivals, and we hype up the rivalry, I think they do view us as their only legit rival, and our program trajectories are similar at the moment. I think we get blown out.

It all depends on who their QB is!

Ooppss I forgot, we make back-up QBs into Heisman Candidates, in just one half!

THAT and we don't play 4 qtrs. of football…or even 3!

Last 3 2nd halves in which were ahead or even tied, twice at home; outscored 24-82 with FAU scoring a grand total on THREE (3) of those points in the 4th qtrs. COMBINED!

So BOTH the O and the D are NOT competitive at all.

This reminds me of us being an FCS program sticking with an FBS program for a half then GETTING DESTROYED with zero depth. OR a FBS team with NO STAMINA and NO COACHING adjustments at the half nor able to adjust in game late in the game on either side of the ball!

Ugh, and now a short week to go on the road to a decent ECU who had a bye week this weekend, to rest and heal and prepare with us on the verge of even bowl eligibility.
