Action concludes with a quartet of games on Saturday.
Looking back at week six, UTSA improved to 21-3 in regular-season conference games under fourth-year head coach Jeff Traylor with the Roadrunners' 49-34 win at Temple.
UTSA QB Frank Harris returned to the lineup after missing the last two games and passed for 338 yards and three touchdowns against Temple. Harris passed the 10,000-career-yards mark (10,117).

UAB finished with 608 yards of offense - the most by an American Athletic Conference team this season - in the Blazers' 56-35 win against South Florida.
UAB RB Jermaine Brown Jr. became the fifth NCAA FBS player to register four rushing touchdowns in a game this season.
Florida Atlantic head coach Tom Herman improved to 13-4 all-time in American Athletic Conference regular-season games (12-4 at Houston from 2015-16 and 1-0 with the Owls) with a 20-17 win against Tulsa.
Florida Atlantic WR Lajohntay Wester, who entered the week as the NCAA leader in receptions (10.8 per game), had nine catches for 98 yards against Tulsa despite downpour conditions for most of the second half.

Had them as a loss lean for FAU, but not so sure about that watching this contest and their defensive passing performance.
On a side note, losing Brazzell at WR to them was not a good thing. He looks solid and could be helping us right now.

Might have to change my forecast on Tulane based on what is being observed tonight.

Spoke with Brazzell and his dad after the game he visited. There was no chance of him coming here and he was always going Tulane. He had nothing but negative things to say about the administration at the time. It made me want to ask why he committed in the first place, but I did not.

Update:
Reached out to Brazzell to clarify his stance and received no response.
However, have it from multiple sources with knowledge on both sides of the coin that this was a mutual outcome.
On one side, you have the need to bring in field ready talent, and on the other side some other activity "closer to home" in that of Tulane (hard pursuit). Pitt also entered the picture a few days back. Would he start there? No chance. But it is a confidence booster.
Bottom line, both parties appear to have had interest that is now dissolved.
Welcome to the drama of recruiting.Posted On: Dec 7th 2021, 8:14 PM #405835
