Army and Navy are tied for the early lead in the American Athletic Conference race after each team won its conference opener Saturday. This is the first season in which Army and Navy have competed in the same football conference.

Army's six-game winning streak stands as the second-longest active winning streak nationally. The Black Knights are tied with Missouri and trail only Arizona, which has won nine straight. Army RB Noah Short rushed for 160 yards on 11 carries, becoming the first non-quarterback to rush for at least 100 yards for the Black Knights since Larry Dixon against Ball State Oct. 4, 2014 (188).

Navy has won 70 consecutive home games when leading after the third quarter, which is the longest active streak in the nation. Navy RB Eli Heidenreich accounted for 98 of the Midshipmen’s 112 receiving yards against Temple.

Memphis has scored at least 20 points in 29 consecutive game, which is the longest active streak nationally. Memphis QB Shane Henigan has thrown at least one touchdown pass in all 39 games of his career. Memphis is off to a 2-0 start for the 11th consecutive season.

East Carolina is 2-0 for the first time since 2016.

North Texas had 504 yards of total offense against Stephen F. Austin, marking the Mean Green's ninth 500-yard game in Eric Morris' 14 career games on the sideline.

South Florida QB Byrum Brown rushed for 108 yards on 23 carries in the Bulls' loss at No. 4 Alabama, turning in his fifth career 100-yard game.

Tulane’s loss to No. 16/17 Kansas State was just the second loss in a home game for Green Wave head coach Jon Sumrall (14-2). Tulane RB Makhi Hughes has rushed for at least 100 yards in eight of his last 12 games.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Seth Henigan • Sr. • QB • Memphis

Henigan completed 25 of 38 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns against one interception to lead then-No. 25 Memphis to a 20-12 win at Florida State, keeping the Tigers unbeaten at 3-0 on the year. Henigan’s two TD passes extended his streak to 40 consecutive games with a touchdown pass – or every game of his career. His final completion came on a key fourth down play near midfield with 5:25 that allowed the Tigers to take an additional 2:39 off the clock.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Chandler Martin • Jr. • LB • Memphis

Martin led a Memphis defense that limited Florida State to 238 total yards, 11 first downs and 2-of-12 efficiency on third down in the Tigers’ 20-12 win in Tallahassee. Martin had a team-high eight tackles to go with 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a fumble recovery and a quarterback hurry. His first-quarter fumble recovery led to a field goal, giving the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish as Memphis improved to 3-0.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Michael O’Shaughnessy • Gr. • P • Charlotte

A transfer from Michigan State, O’Shaughnessy averaged 50.8 yards on four punts to help Charlotte take a 27-26 win against Gardner-Webb. O’Shaughnessy hit two punts of at least 50 yards, including a 73-yard kick, and put three of his four punts inside the Bulldog 20-yard line. O’Shaughnessy’s fourth punt came in the final minute as he pinned the Bulldogs on their 15-yard line to allow the 49ers to close out the win.
