Divisional races will begin to heat up in week eight. Eastern division action kicks-off on Friday night as the Blazers face the Hilltoppers. Along with FAU, each squad has a 2-1 mark in C-USA play.
Saturday will see four games, all with mid-afternoon start times.
Rice travels to LA Tech, as each team is looking to recover from losses in week 7. The Panthers hit the road to face the 49ers in a bottom of the pack affair. Coming off a program record 475 yard rushing effort, the Mean Green have upset on their minds and will look to distance themselves from the Roadrunners.
Florida Atlantic once again rounds out the set of games against UTEP, while seeking a coveted road win outside of the Sunshine State.
Below is the full slate for the week.

UAB 17 WKU 20
The Hilltopper blank the Blazers in the second half, and net a big interception on 3rd and 10 at their own 11 yard line with the Blazers looking to go ahead with just over five minutes to play.
They turned the ball over four times for the game.
Of note, UAB starting quarterback Dylan Hopkins left the contest early on, and did not pass concussion protocol afterwards. Definitely something to keep an eye on as the Owls face UAB in Week 9.
Backup signal caller Jacob Zeno was 3-of-10 for 33 yards, including the interception.

WKU DB Kahlef Hailassie took home Defensive Player of the Week honors following a monster performance, as he was involved in three WKU forced turnovers, to help lift the Hilltoppers to an important 20-17 win over UAB on Friday night.
UTEP K Gavin Baechle was named C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season after going 3-3 on field goals, including a game-winning 27-yard field goal as time expired in a win over Florida Atlantic.
