Jeremiah "Jay" McClendon has committed to FAU Football.

The Atlantic defensive back lead Palm Beach county with seven interceptions in seven games last season.

McClendon will be signing his National Letter of Intent on February 3rd but will be taken as a gray shirt and enroll in January of 2022 and count towards that class, which will be seen with other class members as well.

McClendon held a number of other offers, and originally pledged to Western Kentucky before opting to stay home and play for the Owls.

Jeremiah McCledon has signed with Marshall. He was committed to FAU as 2021 recruit but FAU was trying to get him to hold off on his commitment until January of 2022, so he counted against next year as a gray shirt.

This is the risk with gray shirts as they can be signed uo other schools until enrollment.

We have historically had nothing but bad luck with Atlantic . Too bad. They produce so many players.

What was too bad was that he didn't want to wait, and listened to them, but it is what it is.
