The Owls will look to solidify a number of commits in the 2021 early signing period


The NCAA Football 2021 Early Signing Period kick's off Wednesday, December 16th and will run through Friday, December 18th. The Owls currently have 23 prospects pledged. This is far more than any other Conference USA program at the present time.

Based on our sources, fans may expect up to 17 of these prospects to make it official before the Early Signing Period ends.

As usual, we'll be reporting all of the action here with commentary, so stay tuned to this thread as we welcome the first fruits of FAU's 2nd Class under Head Coach Willie Taggart!

I can't wait to move on to 2021.

It is important to remember what a "class'' is in 2021 is much different from prior years.

Teams can only take 25 per class as the NCAA has hard-capped that number.

FAU has three gray shirts from last year enrolling in January, who will count against 2021:

Jaden Wheeler DL

Kobe Steward WR

Peter Warrick Jr CB

And Transfer Keyshawn Greene LB

That leaves 21 spots, and you want to save scholarships for the portal.

These numbers might not be exact and can be manipulated a bit.

I can't begin to say how impressed I am with the team this year:

Shane has worked his tail off to get as much information as possible. Rick has put in countless hours during tough circumstances to glue the pieces together. New team member Greg will be joining us to provide some sick content. I'm just happy to be along for the ride… and that finals are now over!

I'm waking up before the Sun to help share what should be an amazing ESD with you all. Meanwhile, I'm not totally sure if Shane will even sleep tonight.
