Gaither OT Tyreek Major Commits to FAU Football Class of 2024

The Owls are gaining momentum with their in-state recruiting, adding another player to the offensive line with the commitment of Tyreek Major from Tampa. Major announced his pledge to Florida Atlantic on Sunday evening, providing FAU more size to the position in the Class of 2024.

His highlights from Gaither High School can be seen below:



He made a recent stop to Boca Raton for his official visit to FAU this weekend on June 16.

Major becomes the eighth member of FAU's growing 2024 class. He chose the Owls over UCF, USF, Temple, and Maryland among others.

He is also the third player to join the Owls' offensive line next year, putting himself with recent commits Braden Cunningham of Orange Park's Fleming Island and Ethan Proffitt of Jacksonville's Bishop Kenny.

Kind of looks like he is leaning towards staying at home to play for USF.
