Interim Assignments:

I think firing Roc was the wrong first move. Fought to be competitive when you’re down a bunch of starters and the offense can’t stay on the field. If Charlie Frye isn’t fired, it’ll be a huge problem.

And like others have said, it seems like TH is working to save his job, and we probably don’t have the financial resources for TH’s buyout.

TH is definitely getting at least one more year, but we need to have a good consulting agency working for us to target the next head coach.

Why do none of you think we don’t have the money to buy TH out?

It’s a drop in the bucket relative to what donors have given to athletics and NIL.

He’s definitely getting at least one more season, we don’t want to get a reputation of firing coaches after one or two rough seasons. That doesn’t make future openings attractive here.

Would you go work for an organization known for high turnover?

Herman is a joke. Frye should’ve been fired the problem all year has been the stagnant offense

Hope that the interims can help encourage the team. Would mean a lot for community morale to see some energy (and maybe some wins) to finish out the season.

Do Bellantoni and Warinner have buyouts too? or get paid what is left on their contracts? just curious.
The issues here are a weak o-line, a QB that holds that ball for too long, wide receivers not getting separation and under utilized TEs.
There was a moment against USF during the 4th Qt when Fancher started releasing the ball quicker with short passes and it worked.

Position coaches generally have one year contracts that are renewed annually and rarely would have a buy out clause.

Both coaches will be paid until the end of their contracts in December.

The bigger issue is making sure we do not have High School players decommitting from our program due to the departure of their recruiting coach (Roc or Ed) or existing players following these coaches to another school through the Transfer Portal.

The injuries are bad for the team for sure, but they ALSOP point out the total lack of depth. Which goes back top my description of us as an FCS program staying with the FBS teams for a half and then……..

Of course that was before the FIRST half vs. ECU!

Happy with the first two changes now for the lame OC!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you know Frye is the problem?

The number one issue all season has been the Oline?

Also, for the "Fire Herman'' people.

Rick has pointed out the early signing period being Dec 4th and the portal opens a few days later.

Common sense would say if you made a coaching change all hell would break loose with the roster leaving who ever took over a three year rebuild.

How is that any different than what would happen if we go into the offseason 2-10 or 3-9?  In fact, it may happen anyway even if we win out.  That is generally what happens to teams that don't make bowl games 4 years in a row.
