Compared to other programs we have relatively few transfers into the portal. Every program is going to have a few.

Players must really like Willie. Can’t believe the transfers into the portal in USF.

Dempsey would have been academically ineligible this spring.

Expect a DL in the portal.

Shane any idea going back to Lane why we have so many guys that have academic. I mean this in a good way as an Alum. This isnt Harvard. I wish we could bump up the academic staff

I will say this if you like him as a coach or not he is personable. I went to a road game the players were walking with their arms around their coach and came over to the fan to chat. Cheer up team not the brightest day but lets be optimistic taggart has put together some really good staffs.  For example tom allen the indiana HC was taggarts DC at USF before he was poached.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Let's see if he pops up during spring practice.

He is not currently at the school.

Earliest he can come back is summer.

I have a feeling, good or bad, that this spring is going to be very active.  "The owls nest" crew will be crazy trying to keep up. Bottom line, I still look at our roster and I like what I see. We lost two very good coaches, but Willie will find the next guy. Don't panic. Do your jobs. There has never been more competent young football coaches just waiting for a shot.

It has to be a next man up mentality! 

Tate Martell anyone??? He’s been behind some very good qb’s everywhere he has been and when he gets the chance he does ok. Obviously for his expectations out of high school has underwhelmed but we don’t need a superstar.
