UTSA lead for 2:54 of the game's 40 minutes. The majority of that time came in the contest's final moments. Very disappointing result in San Antonio.

Owls lead for over 33 minutes, but couldn't overcome 9 second half turnovers, shooting 40% from the stripe, and Jeff Beverly's massive 29 point, 10 rebound performance. Trout man lead FAU scorers with 16 points, followed by Rutherford and Ingram at 14 and 12 respectively. Filer lead the team in rebounds with 7, followed by Delph at 6. Speaking of Delph, the big man only played 19 minutes compared to Beverly's 38.

Owls drop to 5-10 on the season, 1-3 in conference play. This Saturday, FAU will take on a struggling UTEP squad. Considering how FAU lost this one in San Antonio, and the current state of affairs in El Paso, it will be VERY disappointing if the Owls come back to Boca without any victories.

There's no way around it, the last 5 minutes were PAINFUL. Filer's three pointer is the ONLY positive I can find from it.

Think FAU would replace two major coaches back-to-back?

It's worth keeping an eye on. Season started with promise. The USF and obviously Ohio State wins seemed to indicate we were on the verge of a breakout. We've cooled off since then and may not recover. Hard to say.

We don't have what it takes to recover. From the coaches down we are a 5-10,1-3 type team. Just like football. Promise. Yet under achieving. The difference with me is, I don't care if they get rid of Curry or let him hang around another five seasons. Very little interest.

Same. I've come to not care about any fau sports except football. Baseball is cool because we're actually good but who cares?

There would be interest if we were winning...
