2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Capsule

I don't want to hear from the crowd that says, "Well this was the 2nd best year in our history, blah blah blah." We are allowed to be upset at this team and coach for this performance. Did I expect them to win it all this year? No. But going out like this is nothing but a disappointment for this game and the whole year.

I wonder what happened to this team.  It isn’t the same team I saw play last year, or this year against VA Tech and AZ. They didn’t improve, in fact they seemed to not play as well as the season progressed.

We just can’t seem to win the winnable games.

and as crappy as they played with all the turnovers they still almost won… so frustrating… and a let down!

Looked out-prepared, out-hustled, and frankly, out-coached down the stretch.

Sucks that the season ends this way.

Maybe a Lane Kiffin  quote, “They ate the rat poison”.

Or maybe the stars did align perfectly for us last year.

So disappointed…………..

#RV FAU Men's Basketball (25-9) fights hard but drops their 2024 NCAA Championship opener to Northwestern in OT. Despite the loss, the Owls close of the year as the second most winning team all time in D1 program history. Hold your head high fellas! We're proud of you 👏  Go Owls 🦉🏀

Davis had the game in his hands. I was hoping he would get a foul in the last few seconds.

Frustrating for an amazing team not getting the chance to play UConn two years in a row.

I hope NW frustrates the hell out of UConn. They have an amazing defense. We were doing great on rebounds, but turnovers were out of control. NW got their wish and slowed the game down to a tortoise pace.

Unfortunately, I think that early meltdown in the season vs. Bryant haunted us all season long. It was a recipe on how to beat and frustrate FAU. It was the kryptonite that smart teams used to beat FAU. The good news is that our cardiologists will be happy that the season is over.

The elephant in the room now is Dusty May staying or leaving????

Sucks those last two end of game memories could be it for Nellie in a FAU uniform.
