This is what happens when you don’t go all in when the furnace is hot. The furnace leaves and you’re stuck with a bunch of bad facilities and no draw to get a good coachPosted On: Mar 23rd 2024, 11:17 AM #422828
That’s on White. I would let him walk also. Hmm will season tickets for basketball get lower if Dusty leaves? No person is paying $500 for nosebleed seats for a rebuild. He was like the team rode the wave and did nothing but paint the Ely ohh game changing.
Ther was no hey we will build this our vision is that, see USF is doing this after years of losing. They have the intangibles to do more and striking now to go to a better conference. The biggest thing that made me realize this was crazy was getting an email for the AAC championship.
Pay $250 to go to the game and such and ohh after you pay you donate the ticket to athletics. Let me get this straight as a fan you buy $500 tickets and now donating $250 for an AAc game, this isn’t the Big12. Felt odd and forced. Thats what I mean, white and FAU ride the greed train. Now the product is bad and nobody will fall for the gimmick.

Can we get Josh Schertz here? He is an alumni after all…That should be our first callPosted On: Mar 23rd 2024, 12:40 PM #422833
He’d be my #1 target too. There was some buzz that he was going to get the St. Louis job a few days ago but I haven’t seen anything since. Could be because Indiana State is still playing in the NIT. I’m hoping it’s because we got involved…but I guess we will find out soon (if Dusty leaves, which seems like a pretty safe bet at this point…).

Wherever he goes, it’s going to be a ground-up rebuild. Dusty very well could opt to do one more season in Boca with some of the current guys, win 20+ games, and be welcomed back as a savior to rebuild Indiana Basketball to its former glory next offseason.

The only indication that Dusty may be leaving is the fact that he didn't call time out during the Temple final few seconds, and he didn't call time out in the final seconds of the regulation against Northwestern. He seemed to be distracted in the last couple of weeks. He apologized over the coaching blunder against Temple.
Don't get me wrong, I think the world of Dusty May, and I still think he's the answer to get us a championship, but it's going to take a lot more money from the community of Boca Raton and Alum.
If Dusty leaves, here's the buyout on Josh Schertz. They just gave him an extension through 2028 I believe. His current salary is only $365,000.
If Josh Schertz leaves before his contract expires he does have a much bigger buyout now that includes:
$250,000 in 2024
$200,000 in 2025
$150,000 in 2026
$100,000 in 2027

I just hope we get our answers soon. We are all heartbroken right now. I agree with going after Josh Schertz, but we need answers now, so Brian White can go get him.

May will not be no savior of no program it took him 6 years to get us relevant and on the national stage. Indiana and UL will want that instantly. The grass isn’t always greener and is FAU fans are meh we accept failure becuse we have been failure at most sports for many years. A blue blood and boosters will not accept a stupid loss to Bryant. He’s a one hit wonder and does not show years upon years of tourney success and record success. They can have him. He threw that game away lyesterday just like Johnell.
We need winners, people that want to stay and build and believe in the program. Then you charge big money and people will donate and do more. White will be lazy and hire Juwan Howard watch, he’s as clueless as may not calling timeouts haha.

I don't know what to say about the last two games. Maybe the strategy or lack of strategy will be told, sometime.
I don't see Davis or Martin getting drafted. I do think that Davis will enter the portal this year. He could get picked up by a P5 program.
If Dusty leaves say goodbye to most of the team. The only ones that do not leave are the guys that never play.
The word is out about the facilities. After Dusty told his story i would think the world knows about it so no surprises.
