FINAL STATS: (20) FAU 73 UAB 76 | Owls just couldn't get their inside shots to go in the tough defeat. FAU had 6 less turnovers than the Blazers and edged them 10-4 in steals.

We can't just let our players die out there and watch the other team torch us. That's exactly why we lost SDSU last year and that is how we lost this one. If you have 2 or 3 timeouts left at the end of games, you simply were not coaching hard enough. In my opinion, it is your job to COACH and draw something up to go and get a win.

Sounded much more frustrated than usual imho. In addition to some disappointing performances tonight, agree with the take this probably wasn't his finest hour against Kennedy either.

Rip we're going to drop a few more games in the next few weeks - our schedule is just absolutely brutalPosted On: Feb 8th 2024, 11:29 PM #421043
No Rosado finally bit us in the ass. When Goldin has a bad game like that, Rosado could help with defense and a physical presence. I like Carroll, but in a game like this, we win with Rosado instead of going to OT.Posted On: Feb 8th 2024, 11:36 PM #421047
No question that missing Rosado finally did catch up with us.
With Vlad having an off night and UAB exposing our lack of size, it was inevitable that we lose this one.
There have been a bunch of Top 25 teams lose this year and more to come.
This conference will be won by a three loss team, so we are still in it!
Need to turn things around in Wichita.

That game was pretty close considering the shots weren’t really falling. There were times early in the game that we really had chances to stretch the lead but couldn’t string together scoring possession. Add in some terrible bad bounces that lead to offensive rebounds at the end and it really wasn’t our night. Andy Kennedy got the best of Dusty, it didn’t always work but they tried a bunch of different defensive looks.Posted On: Feb 9th 2024, 8:59 AM #421062
Winning on the road is hard in the top 7-8 conferences. and if we get inconsistent play from our 2 best players, we will lose this kind of game every time.
