Agree with the observation about Vlad. He has lost some of his aggressiveness. We were giving up way too many easy baskets in the paint.

Nice to see Alijah got going tonight. We need more of that moving forward.

A couple of other observations. We really need Boyd to get going. He has struggled since coming back from injury. Weatherspoon has been quiet for about a month it seems too.

This Ecu played a couple of really close games with good South Carolina and UF teams. It was nice to see us battle and put the game out of reach.

Why has FAU been so inconsistent? They beat ranked teams, lose two games to ASUN and American East conference teams. Struggled with this one. It maybe a 15 point win but that lead started building late in the game after trailing much of it.

Bad defense, and turning the ball over a ton, instead of being the team that forces them.

Good defense generates most of our offense to go on those runs our team is known for.

We’re at our best when we chase turnovers or get rebounds and move in transition. We haven’t seen much of that the last couple of games. It was good to see the guys battle it out and get the win by putting this one out of reach late in the 2nd half. I agree with Rick that most conference games are going to be like this it’s certainly a step up from C-USA.

Just not great on ball defense. The fact we aren’t running any zone is baffling. Dusty must not think the player can do it, but we’ve got to do something to keep guards out of the paint. Other teams wings are excited to play us at this point because they can pad their stats.
