Unbelievable. For all that we did to strengthen our tournament resume we lay an egg like this. Just total bs effort.

Absolutely maddening. Cant take any game lightly on the road.

FINAL STATS: (7) FAU 68 FGCU 72 | The Owls were unable to get their last shots to go as they fall to the Eagles. Goldin and Davis combined for 38 PTS on 13-22 shooting from the field, while the team outscored FGCU 38-24 inside the paint.

I think it’s still very low still. I guess my hope that’s another wake up call heading into conference play.



But we’re blowing our chances at top 4 seed 

It's easy to be an armchair coach, but I honestly have no idea why we didn't go to a disruptive defense on their main guy…box and one would have been great. We probably don't employ it and that's that…but when you have one guy who is eating you alive you need to do what you need to do to stop it.

Thus far we have established we can beat anybody in the nation but also lose to literally anybody.

What transpired a few hours ago was not acceptable for a team with championship aspirations and I hope coach May and the staff can set this team straight for league play. If they can lose to FGCU there is no telling how many ridiculous AAC losses there may be.

They will drop significantly in the rankings. They will still be ranked but need to be on notice that another terrible loss like this could really hurt them come March.

Not sure if it's injuries or something else but Martin is not playing anywhere near the level he is capable of, and Weatherspoon has to be put on notice that his play of late on O is not worthy of significant minutes. Golden also needs to stop overthinking getting into foul trouble and properly defend his man/the paint.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
