Crazy how year after year we have had losing seasons and still have players selected in the draft. The first draft after a winning season….none.Posted On: Apr 30th 2018, 4:34 PM #378190
Point taken; however, I don't think we had anyone drafted this year.
It's amazing how many players on the defensive side of the ball made NFL rosters in years prior all while we were giving up 70 points in games, just goes to show, we've had the talent…

Next years draft should give us a few things to watch for. The obvious is Azeez, but if Motor has a great follow-up to last year, he should go, next years RB class isn't that great. Also, Jalen Young will get drafted, Soroh and Snyder are just on the outside looking in imo.

Jalen Young will have to play CB in the NFL if he wants any shot.
He's 185 and it's rare to find a SS under 220.
Azeez will have to get a little bigger as well to be a day pick.
One thing you have to remember when talking about guys getting drafted is have they filled out mostly?
Can they get bigger and faster than what they are? Sometimes guys coming out of college have peaked a bit and don't have a ton of upside. It's a theory on why many Bama players have struggled in the NFL. They come out of that school with already NFL coaching, diet, lifting etc and some don't seem to have another step they can take to play in the NFL.
It's the reason why Snyder will get drafted even if he doesn't put up Trey type numbers in college.
He could have more upside because of his frame compared to Trey who was a high motor type player which can only take you so far.
I think Shelton Lewis will become the highest drafted NFL player.
6'0 185-190 CB with good ball skills is valuable in the NFL
Also Steven Legget with another big year and another 15-20 lbs he could be a nice NFL player. The fact he only started playing football his JR-SR year and has a wrestling background. Scouts could see that as he has not even touched his full potential.
