The Panthers pay their annual visit to FAU Arena for the latest edition of "Bury the Burrow in Red" game. Last week, FIU fell to Western Kentucky by 3, which followed the Panthers dropping their CUSA opening to Marshall by 24. The Panthers have lost 7 of their last 8, with the lone victory being an upset against a strong North Florida squad.

The Panthers have yet to win a game away from Lime Court at FIU Arena, including two neutral site contests in Mobile. A common out-of-conference opponent between the Panthers and Owls would be FGCU, where both CUSA teams lost by double-digits.

FIU is lead by senior guard Donte McGill, who averages 19.6 PPG, shoots at 44% from the field, and dropped 26 points last week against WKU.

After big wins over USF and Ohio State, FAU finished 2016 by dropping two straight. The new year was not too kind for the Owls either, as FAU is coming off an exhausting 89-72 loss to Marshall last Monday. 

Filer, Massey, and Delph are the only Owls averaging in the double digits with 10.5, 10.4, and 10.0 ppg respectively. 

This is the final game of FAU's 5-game home stand, as they take a trip to Texas next week to face struggling UTSA and UTEP.

The social media team did a fine job of advertising the #BTBIR game, but the lack of critical thinking to actually wear RED for the game drives me up a wall!

Good to see the boys go into the break up by double digits, but the Owls should be up by more than just 10. Owls should come out of the half STORMING to a dominate run to put the game away.
