Florida Atlantic men’s golf will compete in 12 events as part of the 2024-25 fall and spring schedule leading up to the American Conference Championship in Sarasota, Fla., next April. Led by second-year head coach Adrien Mörk, the fall portion of the schedule will include five tournaments starting September 8 with the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate in South Carolina. The Owls will then defend their team title from last fall at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic hosted by ECU Sept. 30-Oct. 1. October includes three events, all of which will be played in Florida. The Quail Valley Collegiate in Vero Beach will follow the FGCU Classic in Fort Myers, and the fall season will conclude Oct. 28-29 when the Owls host the FAU Invitational at PGA National in nearby Palm Beach Gardens. Things get busy in the spring, with six regular events. The campaign starts Feb. 3-4 at the Sea Best Invitational in Jacksonville. The Owls will then use a week off to prepare for a 2500-mile trip to La Quinta, Calif. “The Prestige,” hosted by UC Davis, will be contested at PGA West – home of the PGA Tour’s “The American Express,” held annually in January. March and April include Georgia and North Carolina events, sandwiched between two more Florida stops in Daytona Beach and another in Fort Myers. The Owls will compete in their second American Conference Championship beginning April 20 at the Ritz-Carlton Members Course in Sarasota, Fla. NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 12-14, and the National Championship is set for May 23-28 in La Costa, Calif. Last season, graduate senior Max Sturdza became the second individual in program history to earn an at-large regional bid. “I am happy with how the schedule turned out,” noted Mörk. “It’s not an easy schedule and it will be a good challenge for the team. I’m also looking forward to hosting an event at PGA National on the Champions Course, home of the Cognizant Classic on the PGA Tour.” The Owls 2024-25 roster includes six returners led by seniors Kaleb Palm, Jake Hibbert, and Guilherme Grinberg. Sophomores Andres Atrio and NaShawn Tyson will be expected to take on larger roles, as will Jack Brugman, who transferred in at semester last season. The newcomer class is stocked with freshmen Christian Veilleux (Jupiter, Fla.), Ian Söderholm (Stockholm, Sweden), Biagio Gagliardi (Rome, Italy), and sophomore Ylan Guerin Pozzalo (Bourg St. Maurice, France). “We lost several key pieces from last year, but I believe we still have a good mix of experienced players who should step up,” Mörk said. “We also have some young guys who will be eager to prove themselves. I can’t wait to start the semester and see what our tournament lineup will look like. Go Owls!”
