Dear FAU Owls Nest,

We got to experience a lot of amazing things together since I began writing on the site in January 2023.

Witnessing the greatest seasons in FAU men’s basketball history, the Final Four in Houston, Nolan Schanuel’s spectacular senior year as he became the first Owl to be drafted in the first round of any major sport, and Tom Herman’s promising and strong rebuild of the football team.

Getting to live these moments with you guys was the best parts of my life throughout these last two years, both as a former student and a current alum. Having said that, my time as a staff writer officially comes to a close as I move on to the next chapter of my life and take the next step in my career.

With that, I want to thank all of you for supporting me throughout my journey in becoming a sports journalist. Seeing your positive feedback on my articles always boosted me with more energy to keep pursuing the best pieces of news and stories where they can be found.

Last but certainly not least, a HUGE thank you to the man who made it all possible, Rick Henderson. Thank you for giving me the constructive criticism no one else would give, thank you for giving me praise on my work to boost my spirit. And best of all, thank you for seeing the potential in me when I needed someone to help me refine my skillset and become the dedicated and disciplined person and writer I am today.
