Florida Atlantic Athletics announced its fall Olympic sports broadcast schedule on Wednesday, airing up to 18 home games in volleyball, women's and men's soccer on ESPN+ with the remaining home contests streaming free on FAUSports.com.
The Owls' first ESPN+ broadcast of 2024-25 is a much-anticipated women's soccer showdown between in-state rivals FAU and UCF on Thursday, Aug. 15. The game, which will be played at FAU Football Stadium, kicks at 7 p.m. with tickets now on sale.
Five additional women's soccer games are set for ESPN+, including Miami (Aug. 18) and Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 1), and American Athletic Conference tilts versus Charlotte (Sept. 19), Rice (Oct. 10) and East Carolina (Oct. 27).
The six volleyball matches on ESPN+ are all AAC contests versus East Carolina (Sept. 27), Memphis (Oct. 4), Rice (Oct. 18), South Florida (Oct. 20), UAB (Nov. 15) and Tulane (Nov. 17).
Men's soccer's ESPN+ home selections include the home opener versus Stetson on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 6 p.m., along with Belmont (Sept. 1), Utah Valley (Sept. 5) and North Florida (Sept. 13). In conference play, home matches versus Temple (Oct. 11) and South Florida (Oct. 11) air on ESPN+.
Football was previously selected for five national television appearances, including three of its first four games at Michigan State on Friday, Aug. 30 on Big Ten Network, the home opener vs. Army on Saturday, Sept. 7 on CBS Sports Network and at Connecticut on Sept. 21 on CBS Sports Network.
Home football games versus FIU (Sept. 14) and Wagner (Sept. 28) have been assigned to ESPN+. The Owls welcome South Florida for Homecoming on Friday night, Nov. 1, in a game that airs nationally on ESPN2 with a road game at East Carolina the following Thursday on either ESPN or ESPN2.
After school-producing an FAU record 37 ESPN+ Olympic sport events in 2023-24, the Owls are set to break another record with nearly 50 ESPN+ events for their Olympic sports in 2024-25. Florida Atlantic's national television and streaming viewership topped nearly 11 million last season, including a school-record 26 national TV appearances combined for football and men's basketball.
