Vokietaitis proclaimed his commitment to the Owls on Sunday morning during his visit in Boca Raton, boosting their depth at the big man spot. He joins Mantas Kocanas in representing their country at Boca Raton, providing that international connection to their advantage.
He is coming off a breakout season with Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania's second division. In 41 games, he averaged 12.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 0.8 assists. He was highly efficient on the court, ranking with the second-best PER in the league.
Vokietaitis also has experience with international tournaments, playing in two of them.
He appeared in four games during the FIBA U18 World Championship in 2022, putting up 1.8 points and 2.3 rebounds. He participated in the FIBA U20 European Championship the following year, finishing with an average of 1.2 points and a rebound in six games.
His ability to score the ball and crash the glass tenacious would provide huge advantages to an Owls squad looking to be physical inside the paint.
With 11 players now on scholarship, only two spots remain as the Owls near completion heading into next season.
