Lee announced his commitment to the Owls on Tuesday afternoon, coming off a strong junior season at Osceola High School. In 11 games, he made 72 tackles (30 solo), 15 TFL, five sacks, and two interceptions.
One of his best games that season was against Jones High School last September, making nine tackles (two solo), two sacks, and an interception. In a story from Recruiting News Guru, Lee viewed that performance to have shown his best qualities on the field.
"I feel like I was explosive throughout the whole game, and I got a pick. As soon as the game began, on the first play, I got a sack. I was playing downhill that whole game,” he said.
Last year was a significant improvement from the 2022 season for the linebacker. He showcased his versatility in playing at either inside or outside linebacker, while continuing to make explosive plays with tackles, sacks, and interceptions by using his speed.
"As a sophomore, racked up 82 tackles for a Osceola defense that allowed just north of 12 points per game while playing one of Florida’s hardest schedules," said 247Sports' Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins.
Lee possesses exceptional football instincts and punctuality, complemented by his speed and agility—qualities he distinguishes between. His athleticism and upper-body strength enable him to fend off larger offensive linemen effectively.
Moreover, his proficiency in pass coverage is noteworthy; Lee's remarkable speed allows him to chase down opponents along the sideline with ease.
And that nod for the Owls doesn't come without formidable competition, as Lee has seen interest from a plethora of programs while landing offers from Kentucky of the SEC, UCF of the Big 12, Charlotte of the AAC, and FIU of Conference USA, amongst others.
Lee is the fifth member of the Owls' 2025 class, and also the fourth linebacker, joining Seth Chestnut and Nigel Nelson and Hector Chavez.
