Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball wrapped up their 2025-26 roster with the addition of another international front court member in that of Xander Pintelon on Saturday morning.
Coach John Jakus continues to show his penchant for nook and cranny maneuvers landing the Belgium prospect, while he looks to solidify a front court unit that needs to replace the losses of both Baba Miller (11.3 PPG, 7 RBG) and Matas Vokietaitis (10.2 PPG, 5.5 RBG).

Originally suiting up for Telenet BC Oostende, Pintelon played four seasons and averaged out at 2.4 PPG, and 1.5 RPG.
However, he would move over to Proximus Spirou Charleroi this past season where he more than doubled his contributions to the tune of 7 PPG and 3.5 RPG.
Looking at his most recent highlight reel, he sure looks like he has the tools to make an immediate contribution for FAU.
For a 6-10 forward Pintelon runs the floor very well, sports a nice hesitation move, and also has a quick first step that will likely create perimeters mismatches for some teams in the Owls’ upcoming non-conference and American schedule.
The big man also sported a 32% mark from long distance this past season, while connecting on 51% of his attempts overall and 73% of the tries at the charity stripe.
“Xander fits perfectly with the club’s commitment to developing young players to help them reach their full potential,” said Charleroi staff. “With his athletic physique, he is as comfortable under the rim as he is on the three-point line.”

Pintelon rounds out an Owl roster that will feature eight international players from six different countries – Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Senegal.
And with the final addition now in place, Pintelon completes a front-court that will feature 6-9 Maxim Logue, 6-10 Devin Williams, 7-1 Vincent Neugebauer, and himself at 6-10.
Having begun their summer workouts this past week, the Owls will continue to prepare for the upcoming 2025-26 which features Big East opponent Boston College making a trip to Baldwin Arena.
