Transfer
The offensive line of the Florida Atlantic football got a huge addition with Scarlee Jean coming over from Keiser for the 2024 season.
Making his announcement on Tuesday morning, he leaves the Seahawks after three seasons. In 40 games, he helped man the o-line while they developed into a formidable obstacle for defenses to break past.
2023 was undoubtedly Jean’s best year to date. He won the Sun Conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Year award in November, the first Seahawk in program history to receive the recognition.
At left tackle, he helped Keiser register 1,965 yards on the ground with 33 rushing touchdowns (second most in a single season at Keiser). Keiser ranked 16th in the NAIA in rushing yards per game (196.9) and fourth in rushing touchdowns.
He also did a remarkable job protecting his fellow quarterback. The passing game recorded 1,900 yards (tied for third all-time at Keiser) with 14 passing touchdowns. Jean and the Seahawks went on to make more history by going on to win the NAIA Championship for the first time in the university’s history.
Joining the Owls over the summer, he became the third offensive lineman to transfer to the Owls for the 2024 season, grouping himself with Ja’Kavion Nonar from Maryland and Daughtry Richardson from Florida State.
Jean will compete with his fellow linemen for the starting spots at either left tackle or left guard, the latter being a position he can also play at.
He also won’t be alone in coming over from Keiser, reuniting with defensive back Wendol Philord, who practiced with the Owls this past spring as he transferred during the offseason.
