Card announced his commitment to the Owls on Sunday morning, a month after participating in FAU’s 7 vs 7 event on June 19.
“I selected FAU because I hear good things about them and my buddy Jaheim Miller tells me things they say about me as a player and how I will impact this program so I think this is a perfect place,” Card said.
Card recorded 38 catches for 785 yards and seven touchdowns this past season for Miami Norland High School. Originally transferring to Miami Northwestern during the offseason, he reversed course as he will finish out his high school career at Miami Norland.
What appealed to Card was how he got along well with FAU’s coaching staff, liking what was presented to him regarding the prospects of having a significant role within the team.
“Everyone is cool to get to know, every single one of them. I talked on the phone with Jeff Love and coach Herman; they are pretty cool and I will plan to make an impact on and off the field,” Card said.
Rated as a three-star receiver with an 88 score on 247Sports, he is ranked the 21st-best athlete in the 2025 Class and the 61st-best in the state of Florida. His composite score of 0.8759 puts him at 48th among athletes and 87th in Florida. Not only does On3 and ESPN list him as a three-star player, Rivals views him highly with a four-star rating.
He chose the Owls over enticing offers from multiple FBS schools such as Florida State, Miami, Kentucky, SMU, Maryland, South Carolina, Kentucky, Indiana, Ole Miss, USF, Tulane, and SMU among others.
Card is the 18th member of the Owls’ 2025 class, being the second receiver to join the group alongside Branden Hoch. He will also stick with teammate Adrian Farrow, who committed to FAU earlier this month.
His size and athleticism will be a tremendous fit into FAU’s offense, providing the Owls with a lethal option downfield.
“What I hope to accomplish is being the best man I can be with great discipline and work hard on and off the field and grind everyday and shine everyday, even when there’s no light,” Card said.
