The American Announces 2024-25 Men’s Basketball Schedule Pairings

The American Athletic Conference has announced the men’s basketball league schedule pairings for the 2024-25 season. Every team in The American will play 18 league games, including six of its 12 conference opponents twice and the other six once – three at home and three on the road. Florida Atlantic will host USF, Memphis, Charlotte and UAB at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena during its 18-game AAC schedule. Fresh off two back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, the Owls enter their second season in the AAC with first-year Head Coach John Jakus at the helm, along with 11 new faces and four returners on the 2024-25 roster. “The American Athletic Conference did a fantastic job putting these pairings together,” said Jakus. “This is such a competitive league top to bottom and will pose a great test for our team every time we play. Our players and our staff have been working hard this summer and we can’t wait for the season to get started in a few months.” Dates and times will be announced at a later date, but the Owls are set for home-and-home matchups with Charlotte, East Carolina, Memphis, North Texas, UAB and USF. At home only, FAU gets Rice, UTSA and Wichita State. On the road only, the Owls are at Temple, Tulane and Tulsa to round out the conference slate. Florida Atlantic has been one of the nation’s best teams over the last two seasons, especially at home where the Owls have compiled a 30-1 overall record and sold out 21 consecutive games. The Owls were one of just 14 teams nationally to sell-out every home game last season, joining Auburn, Connecticut, Dayton, Duke, Gonzaga, Houston, Kansas, Michigan State, Purdue, Rutgers, St. John’s, Villanova and Xavier.
